Extinction

Isn't it a somewhat disturbing idea of reality,
that one day every piece of matter will cease to exist.
If you think about it, it is one of the few universal things we all share,
with everything we come into contact with.

Interesting how our human specie perceives death as a negative;
fear and death often are characterized together.
why?
I do not know.
Well I suppose human nature allows us to fear the unknown..
but we should not fear what we cannot see.. (from the words of Porishead)

I am sure I would NoT want to be an immortal being.
Mortality in a sense is the main key to life's value.

Life is cherished and valued so greatly because of the fact that one day the
daily routine will get old.

Your brittle bones, murmuring heart, pulsating veins will one day give out..
just as the piece of shit car you replaced.

Last breath taken, chest drops, shorted sigh and bubbles out the mouth..
Bees will drop dead.
Your nutritious flesh will one day be in the stomachs on flies, maggots and worms..
giving life to other pieces of small living matter.

Our outter layer can be peeled, hurt, cut, smashed but
our soul, our self..cannot.

Like the soul, fond memories of greater days live on..
A favorite song that takes you back into a certain moment in time, which gives you that sweet escape even if it's for seconds.
That scent that triggers a image of the beauty you once held in your arms..
A scene of a movie which will always make you laugh..
or the distance sound of a laugh in the other room.. will be missed once your gone.

Without death there is no life...
since death is what gives value to life..
without death.. would life be worth living?

If we were all immortal... I would probably be about 256 years old.

The fact that one day.. your heart will no longer pump blood through out you body into your brain..
is why life is too short and too precious..

Coachella

Im Jessica, here is me above at Coachella Music Fest...! "I have no legs.. I have no legs.." (quote from the movies kids...random)

Coachellllllllllla... & skinny nacho libre....

Many even rode their bikes to the event.. (I wouldn't recommend it).. but if you are one of those people with an emotional attachment to your bike then I guess it does come in handy when sitting in the car on Friday in the long line. But hey at least that gives you time to drink and few drinks in the car before heading inside and spending like $8 on a cup of beer.

so.. i ended up raising enough money to get in after all..
thanks to some of you folks...!
But I am a lagger and didn't get a ticket to the sold out sold festival, I had been waiting for since last Coachella.
I was pissed and crushed gave up on getting a ticket, but didnt give up on getting in Coachella.
Anyone who has had the advantage to get to this festival understands the energy and vibrations no other can offer..
well some do.. but they its pretty rare. It not just about the music, but the art, the love for art and music, the energy, high free spirits and cool people from all over the place.

To make the long story short, although the show was sold out, I got in... Freeee.. muhahhaha

Luckily with my camera which enabled me to bring these images and visuals I was able to see, to you...

They were spinning, jumping in a circle while saying..
freee hugssss..

These cool people were from Australia.. thnx to a tall guys shoulders, i was able to get this shot..(which ended up being on of my faves)

This was the entrance to one of the many stages there...

This one in particular had misters.. and people spraying water off the stages to keep cool. I tried to get in there, but as soon as I saw water I quickly turned my back and cradled my camera.. with all the water being sprayed the dirt soon turned into mud. As the festival progressed, drinks flowed, people danced and I bet many people woke up hot and hung over hating life at 7am as the sun is beating down on the tent, waking people up whom were probably still drunk and sweaty, stuck in a sleeping bag. Thanks to the pal Sierra I stayed in a condo in Palm Springs.. it was chill & comfortable, better than sleeping in my car like last year. Last year I went without a plan, not to mention I was sick with a fever in 100+ weather on sudafed, herb, rum, beer, and tylenol.. not a good combo. I don't know how I did it.. I was a trooper.
Also on two opposite sides of this stage were two awesome artist working on elaborate painted murals..everytime I went by that stage, I would notice something newly added. Props to the artists..!<33

this picture takes me back....no wonder coachella is often refered to as a modern day woodstock to the old folks..
no only to you have the chill vibrations in the air, body paint, crazy outfits, people in bear costumes, mass creativity, a bit of nudity, herb, peace and unity and of course fun in the mud..

light shows anyone?.... In the middle of the DJs set you are bound to find someone willing to give as well as receive a light show for all the E-tards out there.. p.s cut that chemical stuff out sickos.

Roller Derby Madness... I wanted to go out there and throw on a pair of skates.. but about 1/3 way into a handle of Captain M. Rum didn't sound like a good idea. Something tells me I would not have been of graceful or cute as I thought, If I did. I would have looked just as cute as my drunk ass jumping the fence at some party in a miniskirt last night.. but I won't get into that story today. haha.. big deal..we get drunk and do dumb shit.. dnt act like u haven't, at least I'm not afraid to rant about it.. laughing about it now.
So instead, me along with many others played frogger, dodging the drunks on roller skates to get to the center of the dance floor in the Desert Roller rink.

Friendly girls from out-of-state.. took a break from body painting (painting my arm) to have a toke on the green..
It was fun going around mingling and taking pictures...I met a lot of cool people because of it..

Night View of Coachella... In the distance... Masses of people, Ferris wheel, party organ and the beautiful purple Origami Crane, which provided shade for many...
